Originally from Chappaqua, NY. Peter ran track and cross country at Georgetown from ’86-91. At Georgetown, Peter was a Big East champion in distances from 1500m-10,000m. He was a 5 x All American and the 1991 NCAA Runner-up at 5,000m. A 3 x Olympic Trials qualifier in 5,000m to the marathon, Peter retired from professional running in 2005. He remained active in the sports coaching adults and serving as the head Cross Country and Track coach at Mclean and then Herndon HS until 2016. After leaving Herndon he switched to serving as an assistant coach with the Langley Softball program where is daughters have played. After racing his bicycle on the local cyclocross circuit for several years he got the urge to get back to running and racing on the track. He is looking forward to competing on the track and roads in the 50-54 age group this year.
For the past 12 years he has been a massage therapist with Commonwealth Chiropractic in Reston. He specializes in treating endurance athletes focusing on injury prevention and rehab. He lives with his wife, 3 daughters and Australian Shepherd in Great Falls, VA.
Peter is looking forward to training in a group environment again after years of running on his own and hopes his years of experience on the track circuit will benefit the entire group.
